Our Process

B&W Concrete Services does everything it can to leave you with the highest quality finished product possible. We start by ensuring your sub-grade is correct and ready for concrete placement.

We take steps to ensure the quality of the ready mixed concrete we use. We incorporate proper placement and finishing techniques in working with it. We use concrete mixes for interior and exterior flatwork that meet or exceed industry standards for compressive strength (4,000 psi) and air entrainment. Air entrained concrete contains billions of microscopic air cells per cubic foot. These air bubbles relieve internal pressure by providing tiny chambers for water to expand into when it freezes. This helps to minimize the chances of "Scaling."

We do everything possible to prevent and control cracking, but we cannot guarantee concrete will not crack. To combat this, we install control joints, saw cut grooves and/or use zip strips. These joints or grooves are designed to induce "shrinkage" or "thermal" cracks to occur at predetermined locations and better maintain the aesthetics of your concrete. The reinforcement we recommend and place in your concrete not only strengthens it, but will also help minimize the risk of a crack occurring. If a crack does occur, the reinforcement will minimize the cracks expansion and ensure that the structural integrity of your concrete will remain.
